After-Hours Medical Services for Work-Related Injuries

At WorkPartners Occupational Health in Grand Junction, Colorado, we continually strive to become your premier provider of occupational medicine services on the Western Slope. To that end, we are constantly refining and expanding our services in response to the needs of the companies we serve.

The most common request we hear is for after-hours and weekend services. As is true for most medical clinics, our normal business hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday – but this leaves companies with few options when injuries occur outside of regular business hours. Often, they have no choice but to resort to using urgent care centers and emergency rooms, which means long waits, higher costs, unnecessary time off from work, and more OSHA-recordable injuries.

As WorkPartners has grown, it has now become possible for us to offer on-call coverage for injuries that occur outside of regular business hours. This consists of initial triage by phone to determine if an injured worker needs to be seen immediately. If indicated, a WorkPartners clinician will meet the worker and a company representative at our clinic for injury care (as well as drug/alcohol screening, if required).

This service requires companies to pay a monthly “retainer” that would give access to on-call injury care. Fees for medical services would continue to be billed to your insurance carrier. The fee schedule is based on the number of employees a company has working after hours.
